Tudor Rose tutorial-fondant gumpaste/sugarpaste or

I've had many requests for a tutorial on Tudor Rose which I used on some cakes last month. I took this as an opportunity to improve the design slightly, as I originally found the flower Centre to be too small. This rose is better balanced. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to use the comment section. Also I apologize for my rusty English – has been two years that I have written a tutorial.

You need the following:
Two 5 petal or easy cutter rose, one slightly smaller than the other. See step 5 on how to measure the size you need.
Dresden instrument (or knife blunt, veins)
A dogbone
Gumpaste or fondant in 3 shades, see image for proportions
White fondant or Gumpaste (not pictured)
A rolling pin and a rolling carpet
Powdered sugar for dusting
Glue rubber or water

Take the larger piece of dark colored and roll out to a thickness of 1/8 (3 mm). Use larger cutter to cut out a flower.

Fold the petal tips above and use the dogbone tool for curve and fold on the spot. Do this on all 5 petals.

With the tool, sign 3 veins on each petal.

And here you can see how you measure the cutters. The cutter should fit in the smallest flower folded with no more than 1/4 "(5 mm) replacement on each side.

Roll out the lightest dark colored and use the smaller cutter to cut out a flower. Fold and vein as with the largest flower.

Brush a tiny bit of water or rubber glue onto the Centre of the largest flower and place the smallest on top. Give it a half turn, so the petals line as you see in the picture, with smaller petals placed among the greatest. Use the dogbone and to secure the flowers make a return to the Center.

The Centre is done with a piece of fudge, strongly coloured rolled a ball and slightly flattened. Should be slightly larger in the center of the flower. See photo.

Brush the flower with a little water or rubber glue and ensure high Center. With the tool, make 5 deep signs. They should align with the petals on the smallest flower.

Roll out some white fondant and do one of the smaller flowers. With a knife, separate petals and li vein through the Center.

With outward side, use a little water or rubber glue to secure them among the largest petals. And voila – your pink tudor is ready. You can use any color you like. Were traditionally red, but will make any color matching makeup. This is a very big, but you can make any size you want. Use rubber glue and let dry if you're doing smaller to the side of a cake. When placed on top, they just need a tiny bit of water.
